Peter Lucey is the Founder, President, and Chief Investment Officer at Bull & Bear. Mr. Lucey developed the firm's original trading programs and is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including the investment of its proprietary trading capital.
Starting in the mid-2000’s Peter owned and operated a registered commodities-based hedge fund focusing on a variety of Markets. Successfully navigating the 2008 Stock Market Crash, risk-adjusted returns have always been Peter's passion. After building his funds into multimillion-dollar entities, he transferred his asset base to Morgan Stanley. While at Morgan Stanley, he worked with both public and private companies, as well as high net worth individuals.
For the past two years, he has been doing his due diligence building a team and a group of charity partners, to ensure that he can give back in a bigger way. In addition to having a larger impact on philanthropy, Peter believes that Bull & Bear provides his clients the missing piece of a balanced portfolio, and allows for the opportunity for reduced overall exposure to significant and volatile market movements to be the most predictable piece of investor’s portfolios.
He has since founded Bull & Bear and sits on the boards of several different charity foundations. Mr. Lucey received his B.S. in Economics from Northwestern University.
